Here's a thought, if you push a hate agenda against a group people will be motivated to attack them. You might not agree with their lifestyle, even find them annoying, but when you spend half your life posting hate material online this is the consequence, people get hurt.

It will be interesting to see who gets to play the victim card on this one... The suspect is a 53 year old Black male names Gregory Fitzgerald Gibert who was released on probation. His priors are:

Charge: ROBBERY/ ARMED/ WEAPON/ ATTEMPT
Charge: ASSAULT/ AGGRAVATED/ WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
Charge: POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA

Clearly he's just a poor Black man that was the victim of systemic racism right and the tranny was murder over transphobia... The clash of the victim complexes collide... All jokes aside, it was probably drug related. The Black guy was probably going around robbing people for money and/or drugs to get high. The tranny looked like an easy mark so he got mugged by a hardened criminal.

Well, no one should be attacked, but given that it was someone who is already a convicted criminal who attacked the victim, I don't think anyone should simply assume that the victim was chosen because they were trans.

Homeless people regardless of their gender or orientation, should be treated with respect and dignity because at the end of the day, they’re people too just like you and I trying to live their lives day by day. In princple, I agree - but I strongly suspect that we're only getting part of the story here. "Homeless" people are overwhelmingly criminals (this is just a fact), as they tend to "support themselves" by committing crimes - theft, burglary, robbery, fraud, etc. And their fellow homeless people are often their targets. Taking something from someone who already has very little is likely to get you a beating. But you might also have sexual-related crimes happening - this is also not uncommon among this demographic - and someone may have been taking revenge for that, which is also common.

I absolutely don't think a trans person should be attacked JUST BECAUSE they are trans - but in this situation, there's lots of OTHER likely reasons for this beating. It's just not politically correct to say anything that might be negative - trans people must ALWAYS be seen as a victim. As such, I don't trust a story I'm only hearing one side of.

Trans people homeless or not need special protection, a reservation or their own state/ country would be good. Better yet would be their own planet, Trans can become the first colonist on Mars.
