Between 2015 and 2018, Elon Musk spent an average of $145,000 per month on security, with Tesla paying $2.4 million to cover a portion of that protection in 2023. In 2023, Apple spent $820,000 to cover CEO Tim Cook; Amazon pays $1.6 million per year to guard founder Jeff Bezos, and Meta paid $23.4 million to protect Mark Zuckerberg,.

If you are a corporate exec for a company that makes toothpaste, you are not much of a target (aside from the exposure to possible kidnapping of a family member faced by all affluent people.). If you are a corporate exec for a defense base contractor, the risk is exponentially greater, so one rule cannot apply to all corporate execs.

It’s down to the risk and the real world impact of losing someone critical to an organisation. It also depends on what is included with those prices, level of support and level of alert you are paying for. Saying that if you worked in finance at X, you might accidently forget to pay for security one year.. oops.

They apparently pay for their security or shareholders do or profits do lol - the weird part is - how come "major shareholders" who usually are "faceless men/women" don't get bodyguards just for the sake of bragging rights - I'm an important shareholder because I own major stock and have guys in suits and ties follow me around - says no one ever 🫠👀
