But my job was a Federal Government Agency, so had to go through both FBI and Homeland Security Clearance

Every time I signed out a sidearm for protection of military intelligence personnel as part of my Battalion Driver Duty responsibilities, or being debriefed about classified tactical intelligence information that came through my Vincent I field encryption computer communications equipment for the Company Commander I was designated CORTO- 11 B. that wereway beyond my pay grade. Non. Coms. never cared about that kind of thing since our orders for deployment usually came straight from the Oval office of the West wing, anyway, and the Army embraced the "LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS" policy of keeping our traps shut during upgraded alert status standby's on base, (everyone near quad area, gear stowed and weapons card's resigned for immediate deployment when recieving tasking orders from POTUS chief's of staff) the Department of the Navy promoted on posters everywhere during WW2. Unfortunately, any information I relayed from NORAD or the Pentagon involving Nikesite installations littering Koli, Koli Pass throughout the Kahookoo mountains (Mobile, outdoor ICBM launch platforms I occasionally got stuvk with guard duty for. Military Intelligence operatives and the anal retentive CIA guys aren't comfortable with unsecured data being passed around like crabs and legionares's disease. That was a good example of the daily grind for me at Sholfield Barracks back im the 80s and 90's.
When I was selected for commission training by the Australian Army, the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (think of a domestic CIA) gave me a thorough vetting.
I felt profoundly sorry for a female coursemate, who was taken off base for a day of interrogation because when she was an exchange student with a family in then West Germany she was taken into East Germany with them when they visited relatives.
Such was the level of paranoia that a schoolgirl, who went on a day trip into the then Eastern Block, was subjected to a day of good-cop-bad-cop interrogation.
The entire course of officer candidates were more than a little disgusted by the event.
Why would somebody down vote this 🤔
Mine was i had to be a Christian so they had to talk to the minister to know that i had a faith in God through my church. It was a government job for people with disabilities who needed the loving care they needed without having staff that were not carying staff.
But if government job you still had to pass an extensive background check, right?
Yes, absolutely, otherwise I wouldn't be hired, I had 3 intensive interviews and not one interview for that job.
Yeah there's a lot of bureaucratic hoops gotta go through
Thanks for the MHO
I had to get a criminal background check done once. The job required that I be bonded & the back ground check was part of it.
Yeah you have to pass that or they can't bond you

the order of clearance is as follows: public trust, confidental, secret, top secret, top secret secret compartmentalized information (SCI), Top secret SCI with polygraph, Q level, a higher level clearance involves the filling out of the SF 86, a very intrusive form that goes over ALL your personal information including sexual habits, financial history, travel history, and a full interview with all your neighbors and former partners
the jobs you are describing would be public trust. anyone with a clearance higher than that is not at liberty to answer your questions on a public forum (well maybe the confidental those are both pretty low maintenance)
secret clearances must be renewed once every 7 years and top secret must be renewed with a full investigation every 3-5 years
Didn't so what kind of JOB tho did I just said security clearance and I do know the different levels but thanks for clarifying got those that don't
"for
@007kingifrit Not quite. "Q" level is specifically used by the Department of Energy and is equivalent to the SCI. Also, everyone has to fill out an SF-86. The highest level of clearance is "TS/SCI eligible".
When I was at Uni I got a bar job to earn me a bit of cash whilst studying. I can genuinely tell you word for word how my interview went and what security checks I went through.
Interviewer... Have you ever done bar work before?
Me... No
Interviewer... Have you ever had a job handling money before?
Me... No
Interviewer... Can you start tomorrow?
Me... Yes.
I got the job!
🤣🤣 well how couldn't you of with those in depth answers 🤣🤣
I know this. When I went to professional umpire school, they told us if we were selected to go to Umpire Development , that we would be interviewed with a lie detector by an ex FBI agent and to answer questions as truthfully as possible. They wanted to know if you ever gambled on sports, especially baseball.
Did you pass or fail 🤔🤔 lol
I didn't make it to Umpire Development , almost , I was on list to go at one point , because some of the minor league umpires for my area told me. Which was worse thing to tell a guy 19 years old. I tried to not do much so I wouldn't make mistakes and it backfired on me. They wanted to see me try to move up on the list not play it safe.
That and National League Umpire Randy Marsh hated my guts for some reason. I never did anything to him. I must have reminded him of the nephew he hated.
Aww sorry to hear that... That would of been cool to be an umpire
At the time I was upset. One Umpire suggested that I try the other umpire school which was run by Joe Brinkman American League Umpire. He all but said I was not going to get fair treatment here.
Aww maybe you should of
Now I am glad I didn't. I would have hated it because of all the travel. You have to umpire in Central America and South America. They call them fruit leagues , because when fans get upset they throw fruit at people.
I had to go through a TS/SCI/FS background several years ago and It was a colossal bitch. The background took almost a year-and-a half, two polygraphs, psychological tests, multiple interviews, interviews of friends, family, and third-party people which was names given to them by friends and family.
I will never go through that shit again for any job.
Yeah I hear you...
Just fingerprints iirc. They never find anything though, I have a clean record. Only two things I can think of that might have been on said record were 1, misunderstandings, and 2, not even resulted in arrests anyways lol.
👍👍🙂
Yeah, Brains, loose lips sink ships. People can't talk about that sort of stuff- Emperor Xi is monitoring everything that Barack Obama isn't...
Lol🤐🤐
I had to fill out some sort of papers to do a background check at Chuck e. Cheese 🤔
That's not surprising as that's a job that involves being around children, do they should do background check.. Same with if you work with the Elderly...
*so they should
Most do I believe but any job involving working with elderly patients or children should probably have more extensive background checks... Maybe it would stop more elder Abuse in nursing homes and pedophile teachers... The junior high my kids went to, the gym teacher was charged with having child pornography but my kids were already graduated high school when that happened. But they were still upset and so their friends when the story came out... And I had a gym teacher in grade school that gave off those vibes... So yeah maybe more extensive background check for those working with kids or elderly or disabled patients
All I had to do was provide my ID and food handling license. Easy!
Easy peasy 👍🙂
Wow I was in the Navy and got a TS and didn't go through any of that shit though when I first got it I asked my boss about allthe alien shit they didn't stop laughing for a week
🤣🤣
Let’s just say, with the level of Security Clearance I had to get my previous job, they know all about my crazy fetishes and I will never make it into politics. LOL
🤣🤣🤣 crazy fetishes 🤔 have to be legal tho or you wouldn't a been cleared... Whatever happens between two Legal consenting Grown adults (at my age that means 40+ for me personally lolol) shouldn't be an issue. Now forced rape/incest/child molestation/robbery/murder.. Well that's different...
I agree with you 100%... But for some reason, a guy who like to dress up in latex and have sex with blowup dolls wearing strapons, seems a little to out there for most...
🤣🤣ummm not as disturbing as other question about a 49 year old if should have sex with a just legal 18 year old... I Try not to be judgmental to each their own, but that's just too much for me... My kids are 21 and 23 so that just rubs me the wrong way... a little she difference is one thing but an 18 and a 49 year old... Just no well no for me... Sorry for the rant, but just saw that question and then your reply was never thing I answered... Lucky you huh 🤣
"age not she
Yeah, age gap up to 10 years or so is okay and as both parties are over 21 I can see bigger gaps being okay. But under 21 the mind just haven’t had a change to grow yet. If that makes sense...
TOTALLY makes sense and the poster 49 so basically damn near 50... Like WTF
😱🤮🤮🤮😱
I don't know if 18 "considered"legal or not that still a"boy" at 18 still technically a teenager, that just so wrong in my opinion...
All I know is that at 18 all I could think about was sex and if I had an order woman at the time making a pass on my and offing it up I would have probably jumped at the chance not knowing I was being taken advantage of.
Well she saying it's coming from the 18 year old, but if that's the case, would it even be a question on here? So she must have some interest or why post it? 🤷🏼♀️ Cuz me, that would be umm hell no and if you mention it again 18 or no I'm bringing it up to your father...
Just quit talking to him... Not that hard...
Just so gross...
Right!!! I don't know.. Some of the things you see on here tho... smh🤷🏼♀️
Not sure what level of clearance. I have access to our parliament building.
👍👍🙂
I had to do the same thing when I worked for the 2000 Census and at Doss Aviation on Biggs Army Airfield. 😎
👍👍🙂
Back in my British Army days , cleared up to " Confidential " , the level below " Secret ".
That's I believe where I was at
I hold a security clearance.. Because the company i work for handles several government contracts..
👍👍🙂
Just a normal background check and a 10 panel drug test.
Did you pass the drug test 🤔🤔🤣🤣 lolol just kidding 🙂
Um yea it wouldn't look to good if i failed since i have my ccw which in general anyone that has there ccw is a better choice then the ave joe bc 1 my prints are in the federal state and local data bank,2nd pretty much can Guarantee that he or she does not have any felonies
I know... so are mine... Only thing on my record is a speeding ticket from when I was 18🤷🏼♀️ They didn't play where I worked, I've seen people excorted out by the FBI
Yeah, fuck the FBI, they no longer have any credibility.
Terminal island federal prison as industrial electrican
Ah okay
A very high level that I can't name or write or talk about.
👍👍I hear you... 🤐
Not much, I haven't really applied for a serious job
I think most jobs these days do a background check... Just certain jobs where you're feeling with confidential information require higher levels of checks and clearance
In my country, there are restrictions to use guns unlike US. So even if we need to practice in a rifle club, we need police clearance.
Anyone who legally owns a gun should have police clearance. It is against the law for felons to legally own guns here, doesn't stop em from getting their hands on them tho
I was not talking about owning guns, I was talking about just going to a club and practicing shooting with the guns available at the club.
We can't legally own guns here unless there's a sufficient reason and there are lots of legal procedures to complete before getting a gun.
Oh okay..
Now why would you ask a question that is not allowed to be answered if it's high level 😃
But you are anonymous 🤔 and didn't see WHERE out WHAT agency 🤔 just like didn't disclose mine either...
🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Yeah okay 👍
Yeah maybe you read the question wrong 😂😂
Lololol
👍👍🙂
Lololol that question was very disturbing... I mean I know people think as long as "legal age" but dang 50? Get a MAN... My hubby was 5 1/2 years older but 30+years age difference in either direction, yeah not for me...
🤪🤪🤪
Too funny (and sad...) about the city employee friend there... and hey, very cool knowing you've been vetted like that :)
Despite being allowed to travel to the moon, I've never had to do anything beyond basic background check stuff :)
I work in a pharma. Had to go through personality assessments and background checks
Hey BBB. Not sure you saw my opinion but it's me Jackie, I'm using a new account because I'm locked out of the Google account connected to my GaG account, so I'm using this one. Let me know if you see this 😃
Nobody would dare hire me!
🤣🤣🤣 yeah right.. You know that's not true lolol
Just a general background check.
Ah okay
Wow how exciting... Paperwork and ID's... lol
I just walk with no clearance because I know what woman want, an asshole.
This if a post about job and security clearance so WTH does this answer have to do with that? Like really 🙄
I've only had background checks as a teacher.
Just regular like for any job, or more extensive?
A lot. I work in multiple prisons...
