It is a sad state Trump is the best shot we have at helping repair the damage that has been done these past 4 years helping the regular every day citizens and the country at large.

People are acting crazy because their are a good deal that believe every single lie that the media paints him out to be. Some people even disowning their own family or friends just because they support the guy or just think he isn't the evil figure that media outlets say he is.

Some come around as I know their were liberals, independents and even republicans who didn't like him at first but voted for him this time after experiencing the hardship of food prices, gas prices, unsafe neighborhoods, soft on crime policies, huge spending bills to send money to Ukraine, tons of illegal immigrants just rolling over the border, the list goes on. Quite a few saw the light and did not want four more years of all that.

Sadly some people will act crazy and hate him until the day they die even when he improves things they will still claim he is the worst thing ever. Plus I imagine some have done real damage to their mental, physical and over all health in being constantly locked in this mindset. I don't have sympathy for those that do terrible things to others but I do feel sorry for people who have been emotionally manipulated by the various powers that be.

He's made a lot of horrible promises about what he's gonna do. Tank the economy with tariffs, give more power to rich people and companies who already screw us over, take rights and medical access away from whole groups of people, mass deport both illegal and legal immigrants who are also important for the economy and have lived here years or decades (built family, part of communities), attack education and Healthcare generally which are already in shit shape (partly thanks to his last term), and attack government/voting to make that even more convoluted & wiggle out of checks & balances (like he tried to do last term).

For many people if feels like a prison sentence just dropped, and we're stuck with that stupid cruel warden who fucked up our shit already 4 years ago. Except now nobody will even try to hold him accountable...

People and one person are not the same topic, so:

1 - People, it is quite simple, Trump's strategy is about pleasing his audience AND pissing off the rest of the planet. Emotion based communication gives emotion based results, it's largely proven by now as it is a common communication tactic since the invention of Populism.

2 - Unknown until known. Your neighbor might be breaking down, it's not because of the election, as psyche is quite complex. A person doesn't break down because of an election. A person breaks down when receiving the critical drop in an already full cup. The cup's content is unknown until known.

This is the most excitement they'll get in their lives. They want to be the center of attention for once, at least that's my guess. I didn't want either candidate to win. They're all part of the same exclusive club for billionaires only. I had to realize years ago that nothing will change for me specifically no matter who is elected as president.
