Seems counterproductive. With a pardon, self-incrimination is gone and Hunter could be compelled to testify against his dad if there is a reason.

I have heard that point raised. However the hearings have already exposed the crime syndicate and there has been ZERO accountability. The hearings NEVER lead to any prosecution. However, now that there is a new Sheriff in town, we will see what happens. There is still a lot of corruption in Congress that President Trump will have a very tough task to beat.
