The Wolves Are Back. Thoughts? Should we be worried?

Yeah I saw this on social media a few days back.

I think that technology is bound to advance over time. While I wish we could go back in time in many aspects and get rid of all the technology like advanced weapons, cameras being everywhere (no privacy anymore), social media (which divides us more than connects us), etc, I also feel that you can't stop human innovation. We always find ways to solve problems using technology, whether it's to save time and effort or cure ailments.
There's so many technologies that are in the prototype phase right now that will be readily available and cheap in the future. Teleportation, uploading your consciousness virtually, downloading information into your brain, instant healing, immortality, bringing back the dead, artificial wombs, etc. I know it all sounds crazy and sci-fi-like, but I'm telling you if you look into all of those, it's happening already. We're gonna be traveling all over the map with flying vehicles kind of like Uber. Most of the vehicles will be self-driven to prevent accidents and reckless driving. Robots will fill the majority of homes and will do all the menial tasks.
Right now we're stepping into the realm of true technology. Some of us will get to live to see some crazy shit. I would not be surprised if 20 years from now, the majority of what I've mentioned has come to fruition. AI is advancing things at a ridiculous rate now.
I think that bringing back dire wolves from extinction might be okay, but we're playing in dangerous waters. If they choose to go all Jurrassic Park on us, things can get outta hand really quickly. We're playing with fire.
They have been back for quite a number of years, at least in Germany. We have around ~1000 wolves roaming around. I'm not too keen of running into a pack of wolves, but I guess it would be better than a hungry bear? At least wolves can't climb trees.
Dire wolves are fascinating creatures from the Game of Thrones series, but the news regarding their existence might be misunderstood. In reality, dire wolves have been extinct for thousands of years. The report of three dire wolf cubs being born is likely a sensationalized article or a misinterpretation, perhaps involving larger wolf species. There's no need to worry about fictional creatures, but always stay informed about wildlife and conservation efforts! 🐺✨

1ce I saw a program. A guy said paleontology isn't an exact science. They 1ce thought the skulls of Mammoths were those of cyclopses. They thought the legs were those of tall Amazonian warrior women.
They must b right about the Dire Wolf. They got DNA from a 72,000 yr. old skull I saw and did this n that, injected a Grey Wolf n it gav birth. Now we hav Dire Wolf crosses.
They want 2 do that 4 the Mammoth 🦣 n Dodo Bird. Let's c what the Mammoth 🦣 turns out 2b like. The closest relativ of the Manmoth's the Asian Elephant which they'll inject. I'm interested.
LOL, you can bet your ass there are going to be hillbillies going out to try and shoot them.
As well as a whole crowd of Twilight fangirls who are going to try and "mate" with those wolves.
You just can't have nice things, in the USA.
They aren't actually dire wolves. They just have a couple similar characteristics. There's a lot more that would need to change in order to make them true dire wolves.
However, it is very cool and if this technology is used well, we could be seeing the return of many extinct species.
Actually a combination between dire Wolf GNA and ordinary timber wolf DNA they may be a little bit different but I don't think that there are any kind of monsters. As I understand it, some strands of Timber wolves are as large or even larger than dire wolves. They are also trying to de-extinct wooly mammoths
my actual worry is that money talks...
and many private companies are work with this technology free of regulation, and sometimes worse... sponsored by governments who might not be the most ethical on their approaches... lol
I saw
They look cute
Why would we be worried?
Not sure. It's amazing what we can do though as humans. Bring back to life a animal species that lived millions and millions of years ago that was known to be extinct. It's quite incredible.
They were not real dire wolves. They were grey wolves who had their DNA engineered to mimic traits of dire wolves. Basically a GMO wolf.
This is not something we should be trifling with, it's an unnatural state of evolution. The consequences could be terrible if we start doing stuff like this with humans.
Well what could go wrong?
Genetic regeneration. Next thing they will bring back mammoths and dinosaurs 😁
Good. Send more to their destiny
Nope
