Currently a person selling a home that is not their main place of residence can pay up to 20% of the basis of the property. President Trump wants to eliminate this tax. Why does he want to do this?

I think he just realizes that capital gains on selling your property is just government theft. You pay property tax as long as you have the property and then when you sell they bang you if you make a profit.
