Peaceful protesting doesn't work. When people are dying at protests, that's when you can expect change to happen, one way or another.

Lol. Here's the thing that many people like to argue about, yet it is true. Violence can be considered a form of protest. It gets to that point when peaceful protests are brutally oppressed to the point that marginalized people fight back (for example, slave revolts and workers who revolted during the Industrial Revolution due to awful working conditions, low wages, etc.). This doesn't work only one way, of course (think of the KKK and their brutal, violent actions against blacks and those who supported). These actions can and do lead to arrests.

This all leads me to point out that Jan. 6th wasn't a protest. It was a mob that attempted to interrupt a government process based on lies and misinformation concerning the 2020 election.

Now, to the point of the question, I think it's easier to arrest immigrants (at least, that's what ICE seems to be doing, coming to various towns and nabbing people). With citizens, it's much more difficult to do based on citizenship (which I'm assuming the question is perhaps about) unless if citizens were committing a violent protest.

i really don't know if it was a protest or not. do you need permission to protest during that event? i don't even recall what they were doing there lol. but the blame can be shifted at anyone in that cirumstance. all of them! every last one of them is complicit in what happened that day. i do think this was a false flag operation. there is a lot of evidence pointing toward it as well. and! they just reformed a new Jan. 6th committee! so that's not going anywhere.

yes, it seems ICE's directive is arresting its quota and getting bonuses if possible. i think that perhaps this isn't a true or false question given this circumstance. it would be to have ICE invade your city and make arrests, have the national guardsmen play backup while local LE arrests protesters.
