Choose your mini-apocalypse?

Vodafone suffered a major outage today, leaving thousands of customers across the entire country without any internet access (mobile or broadband). The cause is still unknown, but obviously a lot of people are pointing fingers at Russian hackers...

So, it got me thinking: Which of these scenarios would be worse?

Also, are there any other apocalyptic events you worry about - extreme climatic events, bees going extinct, zombies, asteroid impacts, rampaging kaiju, AI rebellion, EMP, etc?

A cyber-attack disables the internet in your country for a long period of time (several months). No broadband, no mobile, and nothing that depends on the internet to function, such as the banking system.

A nuke goes off in your country's capital city, killing millions, including the president / prime minister and most other senior politicians (let's assume it's a one-off terrorist attack or something, and doesn't lead to full scale nuclear war).

Another pandemic, similar to Covid, but indiscriminate about who it kills (could be anyone, not just old people etc). To make it a fair comparison, consider only the effect on your country (or maybe the rest of the world is fine, but they've sealed off your country to stop it spreading).

None of the options are very likeable.

However, if I had to chose, then I would make it simple and chose option #2 but only if I have the guarantee that all the political leaders of this North American nation are all wiped out and do not escape in their Doomsday aircraft.

This option would give the world the breath of fresh air it desperately needs and the entire world population would benefit on the long term from this event.

It is sad that it would take this kind of occurrence for the leaders of that nation to realize that the politics they pursue is detrimental to the entire planet.

Fortunately, this is only a theory...
