I don't think the politics of the person matter nearly as much as the person's state of mind or mental status. You may be familiar with those terms to some degree. I think that anybody that would do that, Republican or Democrat or whatever, probably has some psychiatric issues that need to be addressed. I hope they also caught the person that did this before he does it to somebody else. Your emphasis on people's politics and how it affects them is absurd and completely unwarranted in this case. You might as well ask what kind of shoes he was wearing, or what color his belt was, or what color his eyes were. None of that matters. Exit. What matters is why he did it.

In one sentence you suggest that the shooter’s political alignment means nothing. In another you suggest that the only thing that matters is “why they did it”. Since it didn’t happen in an active war zone and they targeted uniformed National Guard personnel, it’s almost certainly motivated by politics. Almost certainly by leftists who resent the fed’s use of the National Guard to enforce the law in DC. So of course their political alignment matters. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Otherwise, of course they are nuckin’ futz. The guardsmen returned fire. The shooter is every bit as looney as criminals motivated by “suicide by cop”. Yes, he was in custody but a definitive motive hadn’t been established last i heard.

Politics is exactly what matters in this case. It is peopel like Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump that get shot, then a few days after Mark Kelly and the Seditious Six post a video suggesting that the National Guard is doing something illegal. There are thousands of unhinged liberals suffering from TDS that just need a little nudge before they will show up on a streetcorner and shoot a couple of National Guardsmen.
You never hear of a Trump Supporter putting a couple of rounds into somebody like Jasmine Crockett or Adam Schiff.

We constantly hear about conservatives giving supposed "dog whistles" to white supremacists and NAZIS, in some obscure off the wall way that only a liberal mind could interpret but when actual politicians demand uniformed soldiers disobey orders and compare them to NAZI soldiers, there is no interpreting that! Interesting how you guys know all about the motivation of the shooter when you don't even know the man's name and nothing has been publicly said about him at all other than the fact that he got caught after shooting at two national guardsmen. You have no idea what precipitated this so the two or of you are busily making up scenarios that somehow meet your political preferences. Good luck with that. You are going to feel both like complete idiots when the real truth comes out if it ever does. Right now you're not doing any service to anyone by making up garbage yet you keep doing it.
