With Houthis tightening control on key straits, how high can oil prices go?

They won this territory rather easy. Now they control Red Sea, and B Strait. Now both straits are shut down. Experts say Iran war will continue through 2029 and even 2030. Houthis also hit Saudi oil pipe lines. The longer the war goes on the more destruction to oil infrastructure. Damage that will take years to repair after war does end.

So Houthis have shut down B Strait , Iran shut down the other strait, Panama Canal is having drought and oil tankers can't go through.

OIL futures have reached near $108 a barrel.

With Houthis victories, and Panama disaster. I am now predicting more than $200 a barrel oil.

I'm not sure it will go much higher. I live in SE Asia and the government here issued a statement that they've secured enough gas and oil to keep prices steady and admitted they have recently received oil from Iran via Russian tankers. I'm less than 5 miles from a small US airbase so clearly the US and Trump are allowing Iran to sell oil whether they admit it or not. More oil is moving than they are letting on because nobody has run out and prices haven't shot up through the moon.

The problem isn't oil - it's food and fertilizer.

The Americans are fucking clowns, but even they recognize that people will revolt if they understand everything goes through those areas that they have little control over.

Oil is available outside the Middle East - it's not really an issue. But grain, helium, and everything else, is dependent on the Middle East doing it's thing.
