I’m attending a Valentine’s Day dance with my friends. Should I dress up? If so, how much should I dress up?
u +1 yAre you most concerned about the impression you make or just not standing out from the crowd? Who is sponsoring the dance and where is it being held? A dance at a private club is quite different from a barn dance, and that is different than a dance at a college fraternity house.

Is this a group that is very casual or does it ever have dressy occasions? Is there a particular someone who you are trying to impress?
Thanks for MHO!
Asker+1 yDressy occasions…it’s a dance for us to look nice and hit on others in our social group

+1 yDress however you want to. Honestly. Be yourself and you’ll attract who likes you for you. If you like being flashy and flamboyant then be that. If you like being casual then rock it. If you like to change it up. Change it up.

Asker+1 yI think all the guys are too young for me. Except for those who are too old for me! However, I’ll dress classy.

Fair enough. I don’t even mean romantically speaking. I just mean in general. Wear what suits you. So long as it’s classy
Asker+1 yMy general style is simple, but well cut, classy clothes. I’m thinking my blue tulle skirted dress with blue sequins around the high necked bust, with sleeves.
Asker+1 yMost of the time I cover up around my mates.

Sounds fine to me. You’re there to enjoy yourself don’t worry about impressing everyone
Asker+1 yTrue. 😊
Depends who's going to be there and how much you care about how you're perceived.

+1 yPlaid skirt of a tasteful length and a nice button up shirt or half button up tank top? This may sound like an outfit however I assure you, I just mean for a 20s/30s woman, tasteful plaid skirt above the knee or on the knee, and a decent either tank top, or classy shirt. Depends if a woman wants to show more skin or less skin on top or below or either ✋🏻🙂

@Asker 🙂
Asker+1 yNope just solo 😊
Depends where it's at at a house at a club edible doesn't matter where it's at long as you present yourself is respons unless you like attention and turning heads and being a talk after the dance the next day lol. Just whatever your mood is that day find something fits how you feeling and dress appropriate and go with it
10 ReplyThere is no rule saying you have to dress up. Wear whatever you want.
20 ReplyJust make sure you are comfortable. Is your boyfriend going with you? If so ask him also.

Asker+1 yNo, I’m just going with friends
Asker+1 yI don’t have a boyfriend. Currently.
+1 yI would phone your friends and get an idea what they are wearing, so you are at least in the ball park of the kind of thing to wear!
10 ReplyHoping to get to laid? Slutty. Ish. Don’t give away the farm.

Dress in something that makes you happy and that reflects who you are :)
I get it, I'm young - but I really feel like you should be able to express yourself how you see fit!
10 ReplyI'd just suggest shoes you can dance in. Probably dress razmatazz
10 ReplySomething comfortable but sexy with a bit of skin. Have fun!

+1 yWear something sexy, a little loud but elegant at the same time. Wear blinging jewelry, do your hair, your makeup, your nails, and you will be unrecognizable.
10 ReplyFind something that you are comfortable wearing and is appropriate for the occasion.

Make it unique to you alone.
