Why is it harder to meet someone around this time of year than other?

you think around valentines day girls would be more open to meeting someone but seems totally opposite at least thats my experiences lately. i feel like things will open up again after valentines day oddly enough but rate now a lot of singles just don't seem to be feeling it

i'm not on campus obviously , around here nothing really going on and no one seems to want to move the needle as they say , its like the singles laying low and don't even want anyone to know there single
