If Valentine's Day is "just another day," in a relationship, why can't you celebrate it on February 14th?

I hear this all the time, "we shouldn't need a day to celebrate our relationship," "Valentine's is just another day," "we celebrate everyday of the year." Well, okay, so then what's wrong with celebrating on February 14th?

If you use the "it's too commercial bit," and you sat there and bought 20 presents at Christmas or on Black Friday for yourself, friends and family, what is the difference you're claiming now?

If you celebrate your love all year, well, February 14th is part of the year too.

If it's a made up holiday, so are all the others.

Ah that’s because you can…? Just when there’s a worldwide known date for something, it’s easier to just go along with that.
I know some friends celebrated it a few days back because one is going away.

I've noticed only bitter people complain about valentines day. It's best to just ignore them and celebrate valentines day however you want 💕
