Is Valentines day a stupid holiday?

Not for single guys. That’s is the only day of any and all guys can almost bank on getting laid.
See, on Valentine’s Day the bars will have many single gals in them. Girls who are full of piss and vinegar their slut friend has a man and they don’t. Bummed that they’re single. Those girls will drown their anguish with alcohol and are easy pickings.
If you don’t believe me, go to a bar and people watch on that day. It’s rather comical…. watching some chubby looser leave with some chick thats like a 7/10…. all because so many girls put so much emphasis on that day. All because girls need attention and validation like fish need water.
Hot tip for the chubby looser guy…. the girls who they say they don’t care about Valentine’s Day are the easiest to get. They say that, but are lying. See, attention is the coin of the realm in girl world. When all the other girls are getting flowers sent to their work or have dinner plans, and one girl in particular doesn’t…. well she feels left out. Her self esteem is low. After all, why isn’t she good enough to have a man? Why should her bitch friend get flowers and her nothing? Well, she will need to make herself feel better through alcohol and to feel desirable and get her attention through sex…with you…the chubby looser who smokes weed, flips burgers and lives in your mom’s basement. This is your day my looser friend. The one day you don’t need to jerk off to an endless stream of porn. The one day you too can get a real girl. So take full advantage cause this is it for another year.
Not really. The intent was originally pure, possibly inspired by Saint Valentine of Terni, who had been secretly officiating weddings for Roman soldiers against the emperor's wishes. More recently, companies got together and made it a romantic thing with cards and chocolates. Andies, the mint chocolate company was on of the first, having chose mountains for their logo so guys don't give their woman a chocolate set with some other dude's name on them. It's up to the couples and other participants involved to not make it a grand gesture.
It depends. I think you can make it a great holiday by adding a little originality and treating each other the way you guys like to. Make it memorable in your own way. You don't have to celebrate it how it's advertised.
My mom, brother, and I have done valentines day stuff for each other since we were kids, just making a really pretty and special breakfast, giving each other a gift and a hand-made card, then doing fun things. I that, I've always loved valentines day.
It's one of my favorite holidays and I started appreciating while I was single. I enjoy decorating with hearts, roses, reds, pinks, and purples. When I was single I just treated myself to some more me-time and I'd send a friendly greeting to close friends. I get that Valentine's isn't for everyone. It's really what you make of it. I enjoy celebrating love.

It is a stupid Hallmark Holiday designed to suck a full six months of money from Consumer starting at Halloween.
It was originally created to sell greeting cards... nothing special.
Nah it's my fav holiday ❤️
i'm in between feelings for this "holiday"
i definitely think it's to get people to spend LOTS of cash, but it's also a day about romance, and almost everyone loves LOVE!
I also get a lot of chocolate on Valentines day, so i can't complain
Yes it’s a completely fucking stupid day. These corporations have monetized it playing on women’s feelings. I think most men don’t give a rat’s ass about this day. But they don’t want to be the asshole who doesn’t get their squirrel a gift so they’re kind of forced into it.
Of course it is. Is pure merchandising aimed to women mostly. Many men do nto give a ratz about the holiday but in order to please theri ladies, they have to celebrate it. Also you can celebrate love at any time fo the year you have 365 days in a year for that, not just one lame day.
Yes I agree. It is like you have to do all this stuff just because they say that "you are supposed to" on Valentine's Day. What is so romantic about that?
Naw. It only becomes stupid when someone puts too much importance on it.
It's just a fun way to celebrate love for others.
It doesn't even have to be directed to someone romantically.
I do something for friends, and family as well.
It's just a business holiday, but you can take advantage of it as another day to spoil your love. That love can be yourself in absence of another.
Go back to the history of Valentines day, just like other days like Easter of St. Patricks day, it has been misappropriated throughout history.
Its the feast of honoring 2 christian martyrs name St. Valentine.
It seems the world is in a kind of mess that makes it more difficult to appreciate it than what used to be the case. Many people feel less human, if that makes sense. That does not make it stupid, though. If nothing else it’s a good reminder.
It’s not stupid is beyond stupid
You forgot the word beyond do better next time
👾
As a forever single man, it's easy to guess what my answer is 😂😂
It’s a stupid holiday that makes single people feel like shit every year , talking from experience.
I had loved it especially for the last 3 and a half years but recently split with a guy who I gave too much of own candy and treats to. Now I could care less and he gets nothing. His loss. His family too.
It’s stupid and the person who made it something is more stupid
It's not actually a holiday, but anyway, yes, it is stupid.
Most single people will say this. However, I have a friend who thinks the same, he's married
It's not a holiday here, we still have to work on Valentines day.
It's a holiday?
I thought it was
Yes, it's a feast day in the Catholic church meant to honor the martyr St. Valentine.
@Wraith_Cemetery I called it a holiday if the stores and businesses are closed that day.
lol i have a partner and even i think it's dumb.
not sure why people think it's not dumb...
