Do you think valentines day is unnecessary?

I think it’s very commercial. Although it’s romantic, we already have a romantic holiday if we’re in a relationship-that’s what anniversaries are. And it puts pressure on guys and makes the girls doubt their attractive to the opposite sex if they don’t receive a gift. In addition, it makes single people feel even lonelier. I think people spend too much money because they have to on valentine’s day. So I don’t practicularly care for valentine’s day. What do you guys and girls think?

No, I mean if you say that Valentine's Day is unnecessary, then you are basically saying that a lot of holidays are unnecessary. Christmas is unnecessary, yet people celebrate it a lot and most don't complain about it. I think it's a nice refresher for showing how much you love the person your with. It doesn't have to be a grand gesture, but just spending the day with them and catching up on each others lives is nice. Sometimes people get caught up in life and need to get back down to earth again. For some people, this could be their way of reminding themselves of that. Of course, if you don't celebrate it doesn't mean that you don't love that person. If any girl doubts their attractiveness to the opposite sex due to not getting a gift, then they need to woman up. It's the 21st century now. Valentine's day is for both genders, not just girls.

I don't care people like it or don't like it. I love celebrating it with special one. It is another excuse to celebrate. It doesn't have to be super fancy. It has to be with special one, that is all about it. Voted B.
