It’s for women. No real men really give a shit about this so-called holiday. But we as men do it because if you don’t then you’re an asshole cause you didn’t get your girlfriend or wife something. Society, as much as women don’t like to admit it, revolves around them. Women are the ones who come up w all this bs to make themselves feel better. Even the single ones have Galentine’s day. Not really. It's a day for couples to do special things together and for eachother. Yes, you should show that you love them every day. But realistically, you can't have date night every night and you can't buy them presents every day. Do it's just a nice, designated bonus day to look forward to every day.

The chances of both my wife and I not having to work weird hours on Valentine's Day seems to be very slim usually. I'll bring her a coffee and a pastry, or have flowers for her when she gets home, but I can't remember the last time we actually had a date on Valentine's Day.
