Should I get him a Valentine’s Day card?

Valentine’s Day is coming up. There’s a man that I’ve started getting acquainted with, we’re having our first date next week. I’m seeing all these Valentine’s Day cards everywhere.

I’m not the most romantic person ever. I’m the kind of woman who wouldn’t find walks on a beach romantic. I’d be unable to stop thinking about all the sand getting into my shoes. With candlelit dinners, I’d be concerned about knocking the candle over and setting fire to something, or about how unhealthy candle scents wafting through the air must be to breathe in.

Would it be a sweet gesture, or would it scare him off? Or should I just ask him?

If you’ll be seeing him on VD you could get him a card. If not, maybe just wish him happy Valentine’s Day in a text message.

Yeah he’s been chasing me. He said that he’s used to women chasing him but now he’s the one doing it.
