What are your Top Reasons why skirts are better than pants?

I had a funny argument with my girlfriend she told me skirts are better than pants or shorts. I didn't believe her but then I again I never wore one so I asked her to name 10 reasons and she only gave me 4.

Then I thought asking this question here. So what are your personal top 10 reasons or maybe top 5 reasons why skirts are better than pants or shorts?

Or if not what are your top 10 reasons why pants are better than skirts?

In the summer- I rock skirts when I'm at work. My reasons are as follows:

1. More air flow- when it's a hot, sticky day it's definitely cooler wearing a skirt than shorts.

2. You can wear a skirt in a professional setting, you can't wear shorts most of the time. Therefore, you can be cool in a skirt on a hot day rather than roasting in pants.

3. Skirts are versatile- I can go from work to the mall to the beach in a skirt without looking over-dressed or under-dressed. This is hard to pull off in dress pants or shorts.

4. They're more comfortable than shorts- absolutely NO wedgies or riding up.

5. I'll be honest- WAY easier to go to the bathroom in than tight pants or shorts.

6. Skirts are less confining- you can move a lot more freely than you can in pants or shorts.

Ok- that's all I've got. But, keep in mind, when I'm not in a professional setting, pants/shorts tend to be my go-to choice. If you asked, I could give at least as many reasons why pants are better than skirts lol. I'm a country girl/tomboy so skirts are not always the best choice for gardening, hanging out with the guys, or catching frogs with my nephew. Everything has a use and I count myself lucky that as a woman I have the option of wearing both skirts and pants without censure.

1) they're cheaper. A dress in particular is much cheaper than buying pants and tops
2) on most women they look more flattering. You need to have a smoking body to look great in jeans, most girls just look ok. It's easy to look great in a dress or skirt
3) they are more comfortable, especially in summer.
4) most men seem to prefer them
5) pretty much always looks classy or at least classier than pants. It's really hard to dress up pants
6) they're more feminie
7) they make your legs look better
8) no muffin tops (well maybe that falls under 2)

They're not.

Pants are better because:

1. You can run without fear of them flying up
2. You can wear them on a windy day
3. You can play sports better in them
4. They're more comfortable
5. You can ride horses in them and not get leather burns on your thighs
6. They're acceptable for any occasion
7. When jeans get too short you cut them and you have shorts
8. You don't get treated as much like a piece of meat
9. They're more functional
10. Comfortable shoes go better with jeans than with skirts.

Kilts aren't skirts, but they share a lot of the same benefits.

I get better air flow over the boys.
Freedom of movement.
Nobody fucks with a big dude in a kilt. :-)
I get lots of attention from girls.
Eeeeeasy access. You'd be amazed how many girls want to find out for themselves what you wear underneath. >:-)

skirts are way better then those things (in my opinion) first of all, the color schemes on kilts are usually ugly or at least not cool, the fabric is not the type, (softer is better, like belly dance type skirt, long, and flowy) also kilts aren't vary modest. every kilt stops at the knees. I prefer to the feet

i can only think of 2 reasons why skirts might be better than pants.
1) see more leg
2) for guys there is sort of the allure of what might be

that's it. not to say pants are better but I can't really think of any more reasons why they are better.

First of all, you don't need 10 reasons to prefer something over another. I like blue better than red, do I have 10 reasons why? No. Does having few reasons change the truthfulness or validity of my statement? No. With that being said, I do agree with your girl, skirts are better. I'll try to give you a few reasons. :)
1. They are sexier
2. They make my long legs look even longer
3. Easy access for the fiance'
4. A lot of air flow compared to shorts, pants
5. Gives me a reason to wear cute underwear
6. Purely female clothing, so they are more attractive to most guys than shorts would be
7. Make me more aware of my femininity, feel sexy

Shorts and pants have their place too, plenty of things I can't do in a skirt, but they are ultimately my fav.

They're a hell of a lot more comfortable, they're like the equivilant of wearing pjs all too. So much room to move.

I wear both and for comfort I actually prefer pants, I like to go walking a lot and I end up having to wear tights w/skirts and it's comfortable but kind of annoying in terms of movement (especially when it's windy out and the fabric just gets in the way).

Most reasons I had have been said but here my top three that haven't been said yet:
1: (for long skirts) you're pretty much wearing a blanket
2: (also for longish skirts) if you suddenly need to carry a lot of small things (like conkers or berries or smth) you can lift your skirt and use it as a kind of little bag
3: you don't have to wash them as much because they aren't close to your crotch :)

I can easily think of one reason for skirts that sort of trumps the rest. Accessibility, if you catch my drift. Not exactly the most honorable reason, but in sheer terms of practicality, it's a big one.

I mostly wear pants to work, etc out of practicality.
