Do you think it coincidence that many of the worst cases in history of doctors who have tortured other humans were male gynecologist? And the question is... which one led to the other?

Well, most serial kills exhibit certain tendencies as children due to their upbringing/chemical imbalance, etc., so by the time one has a career, those "tendencies" are likely already engrained in them.

As far as your question regarding why they were gynecologists, I'm going to assume they gained a sick sense of control over seeing a woman at her most vulnerable.

Wow did not even know that! Ed Gein wad also a self taught surgeon of the human anatomy. Sublimation is a very interesting defense mechanism to me. I wonder about plastic surgeons too.

I've heard that the mind of a serial killer often is influenced by a desire for sexual dominance. Not sure if related, or if there's any correlation/causation with your question. Those people you mentioned were already troubled people before they became gynecologists. I don't think vagina makes people go that crazy haha

There were a lot of horrific doctors involved in ww2 era research programs. I'm going to suggest that the gynecologists horrors are the most sensationalized.

Well, Aribert Heim & Shirō Ishii were both 2 of the worst WWII doctors, they became male gynecologist after the war! Maybe it's a power thing, they like the feeling of owning something which is very personal to their subject... I don't know. Male gynecology is quite unique in the medical field in the way the doctor has access to the most intimate parts of their patient - or maybe they just like seeing lots of blood!
