Your body naturally produces creatine as it is and there is a fairly high amount in most pre-workouts. Go with a protein (WPC or WPI, depending on whether you're toning down or bulking up) that has BCAA's which help your muscles recover a bit faster. I also go with a magnesium powder which helps with muscle aches - this can usually be stirred into a glass of water.
