Just slowly acclimate yourself to the dog's presence. Enlist your aunt's help, since she's the dog's owner. First, just be in the same room as the dog (with the dog restrained on the other side of the room). Then slowly - at whatever pace you're comfortable - have the dog move closer. When you feel ready, you can pet and make friends with the dog. I don't know what kind of dog he is, but if he's excitable or large then it might be a bit overwhelming. Just stay calm and know that the dog won't hurt you. In fact, the dog is more likely to act up if you're nervous. They pick up on that sort of thing. (It still won't be enough to make a friendly dog bite)

Dogs are usually friendly unless trained to attack, it will be okay ask them to hang on to the dog when you go in and take your time to warm up to it.
Stop thinking dogs kill you immediately
They typically don't attack unless provoked
Try and become friends with it... dogs are big sucks that are easy to love.
