What do you use to get rid of it if you do?
Do you/Have you ever suffer/ed from acne?
What do you use to get rid of it if you do?
Okay for the past 4 years I dealt with acne. I started in 6 or 7th grade it was something hormonal I think. Mu acne has cleared up and now I just have some acne scars. Here are some recommendations that actually work:
1. Drink lots of water each day at least 8 cups
2. Clear your face in the morning with a acne cleanser- salicylic acid
3. Use a moisturizer for oily skin- go for oil-free
4. Wear Sunscreen! ( important everyday)
5. change your diet! no sugars because it spikes up your insulin causing you to break out
6. Try soy-milk or dairyfree milk because regular milk has hormones... No dairy
7. Ask your doctor to prescribe you Retin A for your skin- this is like the miracle cream! Just to let you know the first weeks your face breaks out but don't give up because it is so worth it.
8. eat veggies or buy a juicer if you don't like to eat veggies then juice them
9. the clarisonic acne cleansing machine is good with the salicylic acid cleanser
10. Don't touch your face with your hands
11. Change your pillow sheets each week because they have germs
12. no junkfood- what ever you eat your face projects or shows
13. don't squeeze your pimples!
14 try homemade masks such as cinammon and honey; oatmeal masks (these are really good for acne) and try steams ( boil water and once its boiling put the pot on a table and sit on a chair and put a towel over your face for 20-30 min)
15. DOnt put on anything that clogs pores such as makeup or other stuff. Aim for non-comengendic
16. try chaste tree- I know its for women but this is good to regulate hormones and it clears up the face
Hope this helps any questions feel free to message me
Yes, when I was 13 I got acne. I used Accutane medication and it cleared everything up within 6 months. However my doctor told to me too keep using it to prevent more breakouts. Big mistake. Years after I stopped using it I still have horrible side effects that were caused by that. I'd recommend it but only to be used to cure the problem and for the shortest time period possible. I still get breakouts on my chin though around my period time which sucks a lot. They're usually small and go away soon but I don't like it. I'm considering going on the pill.
Wash your face with Noxema every day, once in the morning, once at night. Then apply Tretinoin creme (prescription that prevents it from coming back) -it works really well. I have also taken Minocyline (also prescription but is a pill that I take twice a day). If you do that, it's bound to work!
Yes, unfortunately aging was the best medicine. I guess the hormones can be a serious bitch.
I recommend "Basic" soap. Very delicate to your skin, not as many harmful chemicals, and very cheap! You can find it at walmart.

Nope! I have nice skin on my face and I never even take care of it or buy special creams or anything like that... but I have dots on some parts of my body... it sucks! can't take then off :[!
Try using "VITACILINA", on your face before you go to sleep, and sleep with it... I don't know if it works for acne, but occasionally I do get a bump from time to time on my face, and I put this on and it goes away.. and the rest of my face feels super soft!
It's a Mexican thing... but I trust it.. even on my little nephew's diaper rash it works miracles! As well as on cuts or anything the like. :]!
I still do, but of course my foundation routine covers it up. I have cystic acne but it's only on my jawline and sides of my cheek but my right side actually has cleared up a lot. I've tried everything and anything but my acne is too deep to treat with just a face wash, the only thing I have left to do is see a dermatologist. I'm even on the pill for it but it doesn't help me much with my acne. I've also watched a lot of Cassandra banksons videos on YouTube about her acne which have really helped a lot.
Yes, since I was about 10 or 11. This summer, I finally went to the dermatologist to take care of it. I'm currently on Epiduo gel as well as an oral antibiotic, and they work amazing. My face, back, and shoulders are completely clear except for the acne scars.
I always had kind of bad acne until about 11th grade and then it started clearing up. But I still get it. Using Neutrogena oil-free microclear scrubs really helps! And especially if you use them with the microclear gel or Acne-Free microbenzoyl peroxide foam. These keep your face clear and your skin smooth! Def. worth all the money. It's about $8-10 for each.
Ys, I've had acne eversince I was seven. It got worse with the years leaving me looking awuful in high school and it just cleared now when I"m almost 20. I cleared it with a Bulgarian medicine I can give you the name if you want but it's only in my country :/
Yes I had, about 4 years ago.It was a nightmare for me.I didn't even dare to step out from my house without thick powder on my face.Sigh...I went for facial treatment, tried so many products but nothing works on me.The only product that works was proactive.I bought a set and used it for 6 months. The result was good.I can see improvement on my face.
yea, I've suffered all throughout high school, I tried everything in the drugstores, but it didn't work, but I came along a product called ViaNature...it's all natural and GREATLY helped to vanish my acne problem...here's the website if you're interested! :)

I've suffered from really bad acne all my life but when I got pregnant and was suppose to not put anything on my face that could hurt my kid, I started to not care so much about my face and just wash and relax and my acne went a way 90%
I use to have it pretty bad from stress and hormonal overloads.
I use Obagi's .1% tretionin cream and I seriously don't break out anymore. That plus their skin bleacher made the spots from my old breakouts when away in 2 months.
To be honest the Aspirin Mask really helped me out, you should try it out.
Also what really cleared my face was the Clarisonic and the Cetaphil face wash.
