Do you find it funny that Sochi, Russia hadn't had much cold weather for their winter olympics?

I'm thinking if they need more snow that can be just right for their winter games, so it won't look like the Spring Olympics, then Russia, please take as many of the extreme snowing weather that America has had this year for the first time in over 20 years.

Especially knowing down in southern states like Atlanta, Georgia, where they had ice roads, to the point of not knowing how to handle that cause down in the south they're not use to big heavy icy snow storms. it's like Atlanta needed the Marvel comic character "Ghost Rider" to heat up their roads.

Considering how far south Sochi is. It doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is that they picked a city in Russia that is almost as far south as Rome, Italy. There are plenty of other cities in Russia that have stayed well below freezing. Hell, Novosibirsk, the third largest city in Russia by population. Where the lowest high has been -6 degrees F. and the lowest low has been -33 degrees F, and the highest high has been 14 (today) and the highest low has been 12 (today). Maybe they figured a place like this would be too cold? I don't know. but 50 degrees for winter Olympics is pretty damn hot... not warm, hot.

I've found the Olympics to be a joke this year. Not because of the events, but because of how much bad press Sochi has gotten. I can't believe they choose it as a location but we all know politics and bribery were involved in the decision. Hopefully this is the last time Russia hosts any sort of major Olympic sport.

Sochi is one of the warmest areas in Russia. The President (?) of Russia picked the location because it's his favorite vacation spot.
