Send a Happy New Years text at midnight or not?

Saw this girl, fell in love with her, I mean I spent a lot of time with her during the 2-3 months I've known her, and she opened up to me a bit which, make me super compassionate towards her, which lead me to express my feelings, unfortunately, the feelings weren't returned.

We haven't been talking, it's going on one month, of no texting, but we have spoken in person ever since the whole shabang went down, so I want to send her a Happy New Years text, because I think she is just afraid of a relationship, that's why she shyed away from me, I know this because of the things she told me about her past relationships.

And even so, I still like spending time with her, even if it means maybe as a friend and possibly maybe I can wiggle my way into a relationship..

So should I send her a text at Midnight or the morning after?

What should I say to break the ice again..

Keep it simple. Just say, "Happy New Year!" or, "I hope you have an awesome 2014!" That way, it's not like you're chasing her...which (trust me, I'm speaking from YEARS of experience here, lol) is NOT something you want to do if you intend to keep your friendship with her intact.

I think she will get creeped out out, it seems to forward, as she's already expressed that doesn't feel "that" way about me at the moment. And after not talking for months and saying that is a bit, awkward no?

Maybe,..if you don't feel it then don't say it. You could just wish her happy new years. I think it would be a nice gesture to do it at midnight only cause it will show you were thinking of her, and she's special enough to get a call or whatever the time the ball drops, the next day would be to formal in my opinion.

I would do the midnight thing just because it's more traditional in my opinion. Just say something simple like " Happy New Years, Hun! Hope you're having a great start to a new year!"

Just send her a "Happy new year" text at midnight, to remind her of you but not like you're pestering her - good luck!
