Moving into my new place. Previous tenants were there for 13 years. The apartment looked worn down. I told the landlord the kitchen sink and area needs to be updated. But now that I think back the floors and bathtub do too. He mentioned painting and that they placed a new sink area and cabinets.

I'm just afraid the floors and bathroom is still crappy. I'd hope not. I'd hope that he'd get a new toilet and fix the damn bathtub too. It's crunch time and I was kinda rushing to find a place. But it only gave them about a week and a few days to fix the place up.

Now I'm filled with regrets. I have no idea what condition it's in. He told me not to worry but I'm very much worried. My move in date is this week. Can't back out now. 🥹

I opened my account July 2019, and was often active on the site until the notification system broke down, and even after repeated efforts from me sending them information about the issues I have been having for an entire year now, they were unable to fix them.

Then the edit feature broke, so I, as an Editor, no longer had the 48-hr grace period to edit my MyTakes. I earned that, by writing dozens of MyTakes, which I put a significant amount of work into, to create high-quality content, and discuss some challenging topics with fellow users here.

Then they asked me to be a Moderator beginning of Dec. 2022, a time when I am not actively on the site much. I received a threatening PM saying that I would be cut if I didn't get actively removing comments, etc. Which I then did, but with the f'ed up, opaque, stupid programming and scoring system, a few weeks later, I was cut without any information. It's got so many holes and inconsistencies, it also needs an overhaul.

I notice bugs on the site all the time, which are never fixed.

So, here's a post - some content for you - fix the damn tech.

I’m 24 moving to another state to live with my fiancé and his grand mother…not by choice but for family reasons. She’s expecting me to ask her how she feels about me moving there. Now don’t get me wrong. I respect my elders and I actually planned to speak with her. But the vibe I’m getting is that I owe her that…and at the end of the day I told my fiancé I didn’t want to live with family all my life. I’m literally moving from my family home so it’s like I’m leaving one controlling family household to another. I don’t want to explain what I do, where I go, or if what I do makes them feel some type of way when I’m a damn adult.

I just don’t like the fact that I’m not given the same common courtesy as well. The phone works both ways and nobody was ever invested in our relationship until he proposed. One I feel horrible enough that I’m a grown ass woman about to go live with someone else’s family. Just makes me regret not saving for my own place and following through with that. I knew he was going to look out for his grandmother I’d do the same but how do we fit us both working full time, attempting to manage kids if we have any and then him taking care of his grandma…. any good man would but where’s the breaking point

He literally bugged out on me and told me to leave him alone because he’s already stressed & annoyed and I’m putting the nail in the coffin…

What should I do?
