Why do guys cheat?

Guys I just don't get. If you ask out a girl why can't you just be happy with that!? I have horrible luck, a lot of guys I've gone out with end up acting funny and then randomly will tell me there's someone else. Girls are sensitive, and I know you guys have d***s and you have needs but what if the girl does everything you'd want? Why do guys always seem to ruin things. Don't you feel bad? Don't you consider what your girlfriend might think if she found out you were talking to another girl?

Cant you just put off giving girls your number when your taken? There will be plenty of times in the future when you can meet someone, but why not commit to the girl you have? Why risk hurting her, why risk breaking apart and regretting it?

I just had a guy cheat on me so that's why I am so interested, because guys seem to do it way more then girls.

And I know this isn't referring to every guy out there, but for those who it does aim towards please help me understand?

I don't cheat, at all. If I am in a relationship, like I am now then I keep heavy interaction with the opposite gender to a minimum. I can't really find other women attractive when I'm dating or in love with someone even though I know I'm the odd ball here. I've never cheated nor have I ever wanted to and I don't really understand it either. I've been cheated on 2 or 3 times and for various reasons or another, it sounds more like excuses than actual reasons. Just find someone who won't cheat, and unfortunately all you can do is trust them without a guarantee. Good luck.

Well first of all, don't make it sound like only guys cheat ;)

So... "Why do people cheat?"

Basically I would say it is the sex drive. There is a pretty big difference between "love" and "romantic love". People who are romantically in love would never, ever, think about cheating on their beloved one. However very few people experience this love and furthermore people won't experience this at the beginning of a relationship - most of the time.

So short answer: it's the sex drive.
