It's better to delete them. keeping memories is nice, but at the same time you won't move on too well.
Maybe this is not that important maybe it depends on how long you were with this guy.
If you have dropped all contact with this guy,... then I would delete the pictures as well. That's just me though. If you want to remain friends with him, that's your choice. I'm not friends with any of my ex's nor do I have any pictures of them. Again that's just me though.
Delete because the lessons I learned (about myself or life) I can keep with me on the journey but seeing the photos or videos creates unnecessary guilt and regret.
I deleted off my phone so I don’t have to see all the time. It will just hurt to much. but if it’s resent brake up you could always put the photo on a dartboard Or have a bonfire. It helps a lot depending on how bad they hurt you. Yes I’m crazy 😂😂
I keep them. Well, only the nudes. My relationships have all been fuckups and heartbreak, but hey. Every girl I've been with, we've had the most kinky, intense unprotected sex, like every day. Good memories. Man, I love unprotected sex, lol.
I kept it for 1 year after we broke up. And yes her picture is still in my ig, twitter and laptop. Break up doesn't mean you need to forget everything. You just need to forger all the memories. Not the person. Thats my opinion
I keep them but I erase them from my phone. On my social media I don’t erase them because i think it gives your ex a lot of power and shows that you still care lol. Which I don’t so I just leave it up.
I always delete them because while they bring back memories that were at one time good now they are painful.
I deleted mine. I had to, to forget him. Even if there were good memories, I don't know if I want to revisit those good memories. Some are already in my mind and that's all that needs to be.
I still have some of me and my ex I'm thinking of deleting when I'm truly over hem
I generally keep them. But have lost them multiple times due to phones being destroyed and what not. Part of the reason I still have photos of my last ex is my phone had some saved on sim before getting destroyed xD
Have nothing against people who delete them. I keep them and cherish them even if i m with other partner. But, keeping them would show the maturity of the person. Different people handle emotional trauma differently. There is never a right or wrong answer to this one.
Keep them on a drive and delete them on your phone and other devices which are easily accessible. By doing so if u two end up back together u still have it and when u are really over it with no contact in a year or more then get rid of it.
Keep them in a file or album called mistakes. Watch them when you're feeling stupid and you'll feel smart, knowing that you can't screw up any more badly than you already did.
I delete all mine she or he is in the past. The past was the lesson. You keep memories you keep the possibility of getting back together open in your mind and carry that thought with you In the new relationship
keep, they are nice memories and can very easily be stored somewhere you won't come across all the time so that way they don't bother you. i would very upset if i decided to delete them. i love my memories, in all forms.
I've kept some old pictures, partly to prove to the naysayers that I really can attract women who are physically out of my league. I got bored of that, when I stopped caring about lame guys and fat women saying I had no right dating really attractive women.
and now I just have some pictures of my trip to Asia with my ex-gf (I'm not in love with her anymore but they're good pictures).
I print them and then burn them in a ritual in the woods when there's full moon.
If only I had an ex.
I think keeping them while getting in a new relation is bad and can cause turmoil. Don't cling to much to the past, the future has plenty of fun new stuff to come!
I keep them in a special folder. I never really look at it but if i want to look back at those memories they are there.
Even though it's hard, better to delete or you'll always be reminded of him and you'll never get him out of your head
Deleted. Had to for my own sake. Wouldve harder to move on and forget if i didn't delete them all
Wouldve been*
i value memories and the reletionship i had still hold me back and i couldnt see me deleting them just yet
Till sometime back people used to keep, however in todays advanced world, people can anytime access it by peeping the ex's social networking to see what is happening there. In other words, yes people always want to know about their ex's.
Well if you want to keep them, keep them. If it's not at all hurting you in any way, than why not. But if you date other guys and you have those, I don't know if they will be too pleased to find out. So if you do, I would suggest keeping just a few and or saving them in a very very private place :)
I personally delete all of them, but if my ex still has them or has them up on social media it doesn't bother me. I'm not ashamed of my past or the people I date.
In my opinion pictures of your ex would bring back feelings maybe even unexplored ones. But instead of deleting them you should store them on some other media that isn't your cellphone instead of having them accessible all the time.
I'd keep my memories. Maybe if it was a bad relationship that I wanted to forget about, then maybe I'd think about deleting them - but if you can handle it, memories are something to treasure.
As a photographer, it's been always pretty hard making a choice about this... But in the end, I delete almost every picture of them, except for a couple ones that I really love because of the moment they were made, or technics I used to make that picture
Yes , some ! I don't pine for or over them. you are if I am to accept who I gave become I am to accept the part in which others have affected me good bad ugly. It's about the future of our who's not our us 's it's! Hard to get over yourself when we seek to self gratify
Install to a flash drive and hang onto because I never say never... In the event that you get married well you just put them away in like a safety deposit box or someplace safe or discard them but that would be the only way
I delete it. I wish I can delete it from my memory as well but that's not possible. However, I do keep their number mainly because I look at it as I am not hiding or running away or avoiding him
I kept them for sometime but I deleted them when I began to get into my next serious relationship. I see no problem either way but for me I just felt I needed to leave the past behind and look towards the future.
Delete. Delete everything. It's over right?
And the next girlfriend would not feel confirtabe to know a Boyfriend keep photos of ex (i would not like).
Right
I'm Bipolar as fuck. I keep them, then delete them, then collect more of their photos. I sometimes scream at the photos, stick up the middle finger, then kiss the photos
Really... You are such a sweetie
That's a good question. I keep them tucked away in a folder on my computer that I rarely touch. I'm not one to sit around thinking of my ex but it's good know I have it. You learn things from looking back on the past and the people you once knew.
Deleting them. Otherwise I couldn't get a clean cut an would look through them from time to time witch wouldn't help. Also, because you have only pictures of the good times and not the bad one's, you will get the wrong picture of the relationship and think to high of it...
While I've never been in a relationship in the first place, I feel that a break up is a break up, it's a single event in your life. You've shared, let's hope, so many wonderful memories with this person and to just delete them just cuz things never worked out in the end doesn't feel right. Because it's not like the relationship was always sour, it was happy at somepoint
Honestly, it was so hard to delete pics of my ex. It was such a struggle since ya know we've been through it all together but i deleted them still. If I'm going to get over you I'm going to delete you. I might forget a few of them and when I see them I'm going to feel some type of way.
Memories don't need to keep in shape of pictures and videos these are already in your mind. when you will find right person for you it will be automatically deleted , till that day it remain save in your mind. my opinion if you have chance patch up then you can have them , if not so then don't confuse your mind just delet them and look forward.😊
Keep. Before he was my boyfriend he was my friend and despite of the fact that it didn't work out doesn't mean it was all bad. It was great while it lasted. It just didn't work.
I deleted all the pictures of my ex which where on my phone, so I wouldn't have to see them everytime. But they are all backuped on my pc, so that I later still have the good memories when I am over her in some years
The ones that I had a good time with I keep. the ones that cheated or did messed up things I get rid of.
No. My ex was abusive, he black mailed me with my pictures, Now I do not trust anyone. They are an ex for a reason. If you can still look at pictures of them, you clearly were not emotionnally invested deep enough.
I delete most but it's not like I'm trying to get rid of my ex I'm just moving on so I don't need most of them
I keep mine for a while cause I too think it's happy memory. But the more I look at it the harder to move on. So I delete them. They still haunts me in corners of memory but I can get on with my life and find new dates
I printed one of her pictures, taped it onto my punching bag, and that picture is my target during practice. I'm just kidding. I transferred all our pictures and videos onto a separate cloud storage account so they don't get in the way.
I'll delete most of them, usually. Maybe one or two I'll keep if it's of a particularly good memory, but only if it's a group picture and not just us. Nudes are automatically deleted.
You really shouldn't delete them no matter why you broke up they are a good memory of a happy day you went through, you should keep them.
It does hurt a lot to look through those memories and then you want to take it all back. But what’s done is done and you just have to push forward no matter how hard it is. That’s my problem, I can’t..
If the memories brought back are mostly good ones, then keeping those pictures reminiscent of that isn't too much of a bad thing I think. So long as you continue moving forward and aren't harboring any negative sentiments.
I delete the photos, not because I'm a girl who can not store a memory, I just do not want the constant reminiscent. I have enough with my head.
I like the way you do
Actually, you should ask yourself. Say if you're ready to share these pictures of your ex with the new person thst you will be in relation with next.
So... Pretty much that answers your question itself
If you want to forget and start new life delete them
Psychology says a human can forget his/her loved ones in 21 days only if they have new boyfriend or girlfriend is ready.
So try to find new boyfriend.
But don't breakup this time
I have been in two relationships. It took about a year for me to finally delete the pictures for my first relationship. Second relationship ended 3 months ago and still trying to heal but will delete eventually
I deleted on computer, take them down from then wal, but keep in a memory box.
I'll keep 'em... Just not in my phone. Must not incriminate any part of my past relationships with my current one to avoid unecessary conflict.
I keep everything.. but it doesn't mean i can't get over.. just want to keep all the memories.. cause our brain easy forget..
You could save then to your cloud/drive then delete them off your phone. So in a way you've done both.
I still have all the pictures of my ex and we still talk and hang out. We are really good friends.
