Nobody "gets over" someone they've loved quickly if they don't really cut themselves off from them for at least a month or two. If you haven't done that, you screwed. You can't really move on and therefore you might miss an opportunity to grow, and meet someone you will love even more. And believe me, they do exist. You think right now you won't love someone like that, but you will.

The alcohol lowers your inhibitions, so you're more likely to say shit that you normally hold in. Since guys in general aren't good at talking about their feelings, it comes out in unintelligible drunken messages. 3 is a bit excessive though
