My ex girlfriend broke up with me, but she acts like she's mad at me? Help..Help! I'm confused

My ex girlfriend and I dated for about 4 months, and then we kinda broke up without making it official. On the 5 month we would still talk, text, hang around each other, and even have sex. So it was obvious to me that we were kinda still together without having the title. About a week ago we had a really bad fight and she told me she wasn't ready for a relationship and wanted to focus on other things like school. I told her I was fine with the break-up and we agreed that our relationship was unhealthy. Because we have the same circle of friends we're always around each other. I always speak to her and continue to be my jolly self around her even though I do still have feelings. However, whenever I'm around she acts as if she's mad at me and barely speaks or acknowledges me when I'm in her presence..

So my question is: Why is she mad if she broke up with me because she wanted to focus on other things?

I mean I still have feelings for her and she knows I was in love with her because I told her, but she told me she wasn't in love with me...SO WHAT SHOULD I DO?

i've even asked her why she's mad and she tells me there's nothing wrong and that we're friends...so confusing

Relationships take work and that means time and commitment. Something she may not have time for if she wants to focus on her future more. Just because she says she want's to be just friends doesn't mean she doesn't care more than that for you, it just means that she is trying to *only* be friends. She is attempting to re-define the relationship so she can focus on school etc. Telling her you love her and telling her you still want to be with her are two different things. I feel that she is looking for your support. If you tell her that you love her and because of that you will try and be whatever she needs you to be and you support her decision, you might get a better response. I can't say for sure, but it's possible that she is ignoring you because she's afraid to face her feelings for you because that would mean she would have to put her future on hold. At least that might be her reasoning.

Dude she broke up with you because it seems like she wants time alone. Relationship is not her thing now. Your last sentence she said to you " there's nothing wrong..etc..we're friends." That's the biggest hint All she wants is you and her to be friends for now. I see point of view that she do care of her life. It's obvious because she wants to focus on her schooling education and she wants to ensure that her life will be good. Since you have feelings for her still tell her and let her know how you still feel. Be honest and be open up to her. Use the three words " I love you" and see her response. If she doesn't reply "I love you too" then she is not worth for you. Then that is definitely she has lost interest in you. In the end there can be no relationship between you both just friendship.
