I found out that my ex boyfriend have been listening on the third line when I talk to our mutual friend on the phone, why do this?

Two days ago i called my friend just to talk a bit and he was acting strange and asking me questions about if im dating anyone. And then he talked a lot about my ex.
I even asked him if my ex was on the other line because he was acting very werid. And he denyed it. Me and the mutual friend are close and we hang out everyday, so the day after the call when we were at his place i took his phone to see if i was right.. and i sure was... i found texts from my ex saying ”don’t expose me, im just gonna listen” and other stuff he commented about what i have said in the phone call.
This idiot dumped me, and wouldn’t even talk to me for months, and we resently started talking like friends again. So why the fuck is he sitting there listening to me all sneaky not even saying a word?

That's your friend's fault because he agreed and allowed your ex to listen to your conversation. That's very childish, and if I were you, I'd reconsider the relationship with your other friend. In the meantime, act normally and don't tell him about what he did to see what's going on. Next time he calls tell him met someone else. When all this drama end, confront your friend, not your ex.
