When a guy treats someone wrong after a breakup, is it safe to say that is how he really is?

While in the relationship he was nice, caring, considerate, and sweet. After he broke up with me all of that changed.

A break up stirs up feelings in a guy. Sometimes its not even clear what they are angry about. Both you and him will have to process the emotions. He has to figure out what is frustrated about. He has to dig deeper. He has to identify as many thoughts and emotions relating to this to get the full picture. Most men block out these thoughts, the thoughts go on overload whenever he has to cross paths with you again. Each has to break down every element of the anger, frustration and other emotions. Confession and forgiveness to one another speeds up the healing process.

I went to his place recently to pick up my belongings and he didn't say hi.

He broke up our relationship because I do not completely trust him. Before the breakup we both discussed that if any problems come about we will talk about them, and try to work them out vs just breaking up. He did not do that in which I still don't understand why, so why is he possible angry or heartbroken?

I still feel that although I had trust issues he should have not lied about we can talk about any issues that come up.
