To answer your question, he's just being nosy. Depending on how things ended between you two, he's seeing have you moved on, dating anyone else, are you happy, sad, miss him...

Again, I'd block him, but that's just me. Why would you want someone that's no longer in your life prying in your business?

He probably just thinks you guys are cool enough that he watches your story but isn’t interested in opening the lines of communication. I’m in your situation currently so I get it, I broke up with my boyfriend in October and he still is always like the first or second to watch my stories. He has commented with a laugh or whatever but we don’t dive into conversation.
