My ex added me on Snapchat but hasn't text me what does that mean?

My ex broke up with me 4 months ago and it's been 2 months since we talked. I downloaded Snapchat the month he broke up with me because I was trying to make friends and when his icon popped up I hid it. Last night I go onto Snapchat and see I got a friend request. It was him. I accepted it because I was curious but I refuse to text him first because that's how I met him I texted him first. I accepted the request but he hasn't texted me but looks at my stories. What does that mean?

Well I found out why he added me. He's showing off his new girl and what makes me sick is I had to beg him to post something about me when we were together. I unfriended him and I hope he's happy.
