A "flirtationship". Is it cheating? I don't think it is.

Flirtationship-When you regularly flirt with an acquaintance or friend but do no more.

I have a flirtationship with a guy friend of mine and I'm not sure if its cheating. I don't think it is so I haven't told my boyfriend yet. Is it cheating?

I had a guy, who KNEW I liked him, flirt with me and what I call showing obvious interest, and then I found out he had a girfriend. I was mad and hurt. But then I was glad it happened, cause I realized that I could have been the girlfriend and if this guy would have been flirting with other women the way he was flirting with me, I would not want to be his girlfriend. SO luckily I got a hint of what this guy really is all about. And yes, it is disrespectful. I mean what is the point. If it is not interest in the other, then maybe it is for ego boost, or at a crossroads in ones relationship and wants to see what the options are.

I think if you're engaging in any behavior that you wouldn't want your significant other to see or hear about its some form of cheating because you feel guilty.

If you're flirting with someone else its kinda sh*tty cause I'm sure he wouldn't like it, and you probably wouldn't dig it if he was doing the same

I learned a new word today:D ...I think. I would feel dishonest if I was flirting with a guy when I was in a relationship with someone else, and I definitely wouldn't like if my boyfriend flirted with another girl...so to me it kind of is.

I think most people would consider it to be a lesser form of cheating. I'd probably start to question our relationship depending on how frequent/serious she was flirting. I mean, jokingly or the odd compliment is alright, but I don't know.. I don't think I'd be too comfortable with it regardless.

Put yourself in his shoes, if he started flirting with random women at any given chance how would that make you feel?

he does. he is always asking girls for their number (and they give it to him) and he tells girls ther a 10 on a 1-10 scale and I just feel insecure while he does that. So I think this is possibly the reason that I'm not very guilty about this?

It's not cheating outright, but it's goddamn disrespectful. I would be hard pressed to have the motivation to carry on a relationship with a girl who is regularly flirting with somebody - it just raises too many questions, and causes too many trust problems.

I would consider it cheating but if he's fine with it and you don't mind him doing it, by all means go ahead. I just think you're not ready for a relationship if you are doing that.

Why would anyone not think this is cheating? you are engaging in something that could lead tophysical contact plus if you really love your partner you would not flirt with anyone else...do people have no morals anymore?

its not serious I just tease him and he is constantly complementing me and asking me out and I say no..so that's why I don't think its bad. I try to push him away and he keeps comming. its innocent for me and I think he's getting to serious.

hmm..not cheating but maybe you're leading that guy on. If I were you, I'll back off a little so he understands that I'm no more than a friend.
