Asking this for my roommate.
she's currently in a two year relationship but about 6 months ago her boyfriend does not want to have sex anymore. She said it used to be weekly but now it’s once a month or every two months and going on three.

is it considered cheating if you are not in a sexual relationship with that person?

Does there as to be a relationship to cheat on?
Now if he won't share her but won't make love to her that’s messed up right?

I know if it was the other way around if the girl wasn’t satisfying her man he would most likely look for it else where, but she’s trying to be patient with him for whatever reason.

Most people are going to say yes it's cheating. I'd agree if either they had some sort of exclusivity agreement or, if they didn't, then the logical assumption is that they're exclusive -- that's how most relationships work.

Though it sucks and is wrong and speaks volumes about their communication skills, not wanting to have sex any more and not having sex any more isn't justification to seek sex or relationship outside the primary relationship.

Your roommate needs to work to fix the problem or end the relationship and find one that meets her sexual needs.

She needs to break up w him first. No it’s not cheating if they aren’t having sex. Maybe things have gotten boring. Things have become routine. Maybe there’s something medically wrong. Could be numerous reasons. Yes it’s still cheating if she has sex w another man even though she’s not having sex w her. I mean 40 years from now if for some reason you couldn’t have sex w your man, but he still stayed w you but was getting some ass on the side would it be cheating?

No i guess I didn’t explain it right, so she’s thinking about seeing another person to hang out etc. But if things got out of hand is it cheating hence her and her boyfriend are roomate cause they don’t even kiss or anything.
