Fiancée and I broke up after prenup argument?

So my recent ex, sadly comes from money and has been taken advantage of in the past with family and relationships. I have a post nup from my previous marriage that gets cancelled if I remarry. Which is the only protection and security I have for me and my son. The prenup my new guy gave me dosent start until the second year and that’s an issue for me since my only security gets cancelled the moment we marry. So If we divorce in that first year in left on my butt basically. He says if I don’t accept what I give him then it means I’m with him for his money. There was also some things in there I didn’t like and he said nothing is changing. Accept it or not. So we ended things because I think it’s terrible agreement for me. I haven’t heard from him but his close friend says he’s over it. I’m really hurting right now since we were inseparable. Any thoughts.

So did the new prenup say you would be taken care of as long as you stayed married to him for at least a year?

If so, that doesn’t seem too bad.

It says the first year I am not. But if that happens my old prenup that is basically my life savings gets taken away and I can never get it back. So if we break up in a year I have nothing to fall back on.

I would just say, if the opportunity was still even available, simply don’t get a divorce before the first year is up. A divorce has to be consented to by both parties. He couldn’t just randomly decide to dump you and it’s over just like that. You’d have to sign papers agreeing to that.
