Isolating ex girlfriend from enviroment normal?

My ex boyfriend emotionally blackmails common friends to not spend time with me or demands to end the friendhip. The breakup is 1,5 years ago and he has a new girlfriend and he had her for quite some time now. What the hell? What does that even mean? He ended the relationship with me. What are your ideas about it.. do you think this is normal? I would never do that to my friends. I think it is abuse. What do you guys think?

How does he "emotionally blackmails common friends" ? Does he tell that if they continue seeing you that he will not associate with them?

Yes, he will tell them that their friendship is pber if the connection to me is not ended. He also gets other friends involved to increase the pressure. He fiest tries to make other feel sorry for him, as if this was breaking the trust between them, getting sad and what not. If that does not work he gets angry. He basically acts jealous, but why would a guy do thatx of he is happy with another girlfriend?

Is it working? I would think most of your acquaintances would recognize his behavior as controlling and refuse.

With some of them it does not work and they told him to stop this behavior. With others though it does, some do not engage with me anymore othernthan a polite hello and some tell me we can continue the friendship online without meeting. That also seems wrong to me. What do you think?
