If you dont want to lose money in divorce, why not invest it in your children?

If you divorce, but the money belongs to your kids your ex can't get away with it. Why is this not the default marriage strategy?

That isn't how it works lol. She can still get half your 401k etc. Also in most places it is illegal to dump all of your assets during a divorce or within a certain amount of time before.

You establish this stuff before even having a marriage or children. I can just go to a notary dude a'd he fills in the papers for me. No wife or kids needed.

Ah, that makes sense then. Here in the U. S. it's more than likely going to be the male that gets raked over the coals. The family courts here are highly biased against the male half.
