Is divorce typically bad for kids?

I would rather have my parents fighting but have a better financial situation than have divorced parents.

Ehhh from my perspective with my parents divorce, I’d rather see them happy and single. You really don’t know someone until you have kids with them and I think many times kids make or break marriages really. I’m happy that my dad chose happiness over choosing to be in a bad marriage for the sake of me. Parents are still individuals that deserve happiness.

Both divorce and staying together can be bad. It really depends.

My parents stayed together but if my father had divorced my mom and I lived with him, my life would've been so much better.

Yep because it shows a failed marriage to a child which effects their mentality as they grow, if the people that have birth and are suppose to raise them are unhappy with each other and show disconnection then it's only logical that as they grow it will effect their mentality and perspective in dating and marriage in general.

It depends on how much drama there is when the children are around. If one spouse is abusive, then divorce is certainly better. It may be better anyway, as they will get a chance to see one or both parents in a healthy relationship.

Well I had to grow up with unhappily married parents (think Costanzas from Seinfeld). So sometimes divorce is the best option.
