I broke up with my boyfriend and his response was to thank me for all I’ve done for him.. then he said “have a nice life”

I did that too with my ex and he reciprocated and thank me as well. Your ex probably just wanted to end things on a good note, you must have shared a lot of happy memories together and he wanted to acknowledge that. He’s basically saying “thanks for the memories and I wish you the best”.
