Why would a married woman and teens never confront her husband about his long term affair?

The husband is going through a mental crisis last 2 years due to business loss but they still have a beautiful house. That would be hers and the kids. She hasn't worked in 20 years. Maybe the kids dont want to kick him out? 14 and 16.. I could never.. I wouldn't be able to look him straight in the face again. Nevermind let him touch my body.

A close family friend of mine went through something similar. The husband was caught cheating (about to marry the other women) but the kids and the wife let him stay in the house and acted as if nothing happened. Then the pos husband decided to sue the wife (so that he can keep the house, cars, etc) and that’s when chaos happened. The wife still did nothing, but the daughter ended up physically attacking the mistress and kicked the dad out of their house.

Yes, why shouldn’t she confront him? She’s already sponged off him for 20 years, will get the house, and custody of the kids. Why shouldn’t she ruin what’s left of his life because he fucked another woman?

Yes I agree even as a woman lol.
But the question is why is she NOT confronting him.
She's been letting him continue this affair for years. I've lost all respect for her.
Her teen age girls know too. She must have said something to them to keep quiet.
The only thing I can think of is she's waiting for the teens to get out of school or waiting for him to overcome a business problem that Jason put him into a depression.
