Divorced people, is there a way my cousin can avoid paying alimony?

My cousin (same age as me) married his wife after they dated for 5 years. They have only been married slightly over a year. They do not have children so child support will not be a problem. His wife cheated on him and gave him an STD and now wants a divorce.

Her excuse is that "he is never home enough to keep me from being lonely" and tried to pin the blame on him. She is in law school. He went the trade route and is a certified plumber, electrician and HVAC-certified and started his own company 2 years ago while she works full-time at Amazon.

She makes $18 an hour while he averages around $80-$100k a year, depending on how much business he gets.

She has family that will take her in and can support herself. Also, she caused all the problems so why should he have to pay alimony? Can he avoid alimony? Can he avoid her having any stake or claim in his business?
