With temporary break ups in long term relationships, what limits are there to behavior?

girlfriend and I split for a couple days. Live together. Dated 2.6 years. She texted an ex about banging a bunch of guys to get back at me. Uncertain if she actually did anything, but we were technically broken up.

No limits. You're entirely free to do whatever and whomever you like. You broke up.

Maybe a bit of flirting is okay, but long term requires certainty the relationship is over

There's no such thing as a temporary breakup, you were either broken up or you are not. And if you are broken up, then you can do whatever you want.

What's the longest relationship you've been in?

Just curious. I'm questioning this myself. But, you don't think there's any kind of verification period after a 2.5 year relationship gets impulsively ended?

4 years and counting. I would assume that something has gone terribly wrong if my spouse decided abruptly that he didn't want to be with me. It would be completely out of character for him.

If you don't mind me asking, out of curiosity, you've had to have had fights in this long of a time period, yeah? I'm wondering how much is legit, because this is my first relationship for this long: pushing 3 years, now.

But the last 3 months, we've been fighting like every week or every other week. We sit down and do relationship management, but it takes so long and is so exhausting. Maybe this is just bad chemistry?

What is it like for you and your spouse when you fight? And do you mind me messaging you regarding specifically this platonic subject?

We have not had any "fights", as in large, long, or strong disagreements. We have agreed to disagree on rare occasions about some minor things, but we made sure that we were on the same page about every major topic before even getting serious about dating.
