My ex and I were on/off from 2018-2021 and we have been no contact since fall 2021. Since then, multiple fake accounts have been looking at my IG stories (I am public) multiple times a day. When I was first blocked, the new feature to block any new accounts they may create was available, however my ex did not do that. In the fall of 2021, I made a smaller private IG that was not blocked by him at first, but then he blocked a little while after. I did not interact with him on this account. Around this time as well, my ex rebounded with a friend of his coworker – this only lasted a few months. He never posted this person on social media as his partner, but I found out another way. I went complete no contact with no profile creeping or anything for 4 months, but then I started to look at his profile again. I noticed he was posting more than he previously did when we were together. He wasn’t much of a social media person previously.
In Jan ‘22 I created a new IG for fitness and at first it was blocked by him. I figured when he blocked my close friends insta he then chose to “block any new accounts” I create. Then, in early July I sent an apology email in to him to which I received no response, but in the email I wrote how I had been thinking for the entire year we were no contact and that I wanted to apologize without excuses and so I did. Since then, my ex seems to have unblocked my fitness IG. I have never used this account to creep or communicate either. Shortly after I found out he unblocked my fitness IG he has since stopped posting on his story but is still active.
Basically I am confused as to why he would unblock me yet not reply to my apology and keep creeping my stories? I wonder if he misses me? I know most will say “they’re your EX – move on!” but it’s been a year since we last spoke and It still hurts like it was yesterday. I do not wish to harass him so I will not reach out again. But what do I do? Do I wait? Moving in hasn’t been an option for me..
