Why would you want to be friends after a fresh break up? If u just broke up with someone I would need time away from them cause the feelings for them might still be there. I personally just don't believe in keeping a ex around unless you have kids. You either want to be together and each others lives or you don't.

I did suggest it, because it was a never-met relationship. She obviously didn't think the same. I did it a few weeks after, if I am not wrong. It was years ago.

Honestly, I didn't insist. Knowing her, I was the one losing my time; so I let her go and let it be.
