I broke up with him and he stopped calling and replying randomly?

Before I blocked him on messenger, we had an argument about how he wanted things from me but couldn't do the same.

He called me and messaged me repeatedly the day before yesterday. I told him I'd be busy and he accused me of hanging out with some other guy. I was on the way back from the state fair and had my mom tell him I was driving in the rain.

Yesterday he called obsessively and I did not answer but once and said I'd call back, when I did he didn't answer. But I saw his active status was on for hours, then was off for a bit then back off. I sent a text, then called hours later and he answered claimining he wasn't doing anything and he so called friend text him and that was it.

He went from all this to that but still follows me on social media, usually he'd unfollow out of anger. what's up with him? new person got his attention? he was just crying for days about never feeling this way about anyone and how he was suicidal at times.
