I don't understand why I am missing him?

My ex has been texting me since last 5 days that he misses me and wants to talk he also called me few times i didn't reply to any of his text neither received his calls because i didn't wanted to talk to him i don't want to block him because then I miss him too much i don't love him anymore neither i want to do anything with him but i don't understand why i miss him today as he hasn't texted me since whole day today
