We’ve been broken up for about 4 months now but she keeps calling?

It was a hard breakup for me.. she decided she needed time to herself and wasn’t ready for something serious when I was…I did all I could, and treated her very well (she even acknowledged it), yet she still broke up with me. I’m finally getting back on my feet from the heart break, but she keeps reaching out here and there, wanting to try to be friends (told her I couldn’t be friends), or calling me when she’s drunk. Why is she doing this to me when she knows how strongly I felt/feel about her?

Why haven’t you blocked her from every point of access. Why are you allowing her to control you emotionally and physical?

You are still in love and pining over her. Your inaction or willingness let her contact you says more than is necessary to form a clear conclusion.

In my opinion she’s doing it so you don’t move on, so that she can keep you as an option. Or it’s a way for her to check if she’s still got you wrapped around her finger. I’m not sure how long you were together for but I believe when someone breaks up with you because they want time to themselves, it’s just what they’re telling you to not hurt your feelings as they go and explore other possible partners. I had a toxic ex that did exactly that and when they felt low or wanted comfort they would then reach out and use being drunk as an excuse.

The positive of the situation is that they’re thinking about you so that’s worth something but if I were you I wouldn’t be looking to get back in a relationship with someone like that because they’ll do it again if someone else comes along.
