Recently broke up with father of my child and baby is 3 months old. Was in relationship for a year and a half he had bad depression says he wants to "fix" himself and work on his depression to be better for me and our son. He says he still sees a future with me and baby and still sees him regularly (not a bad father) but when we were together he constantly put his friends before me would rather go outside the house with them than me. Was happy with me just being in the house and not going out on dates or walks or anything even after son was born. Only does go out with his friends if it involves drink. He is still keeping in contact with me daily due to the fact we have a baby together but conversation does sway. He is 30 and I am 24. Advice please is he playing me keeping me as a back up plan incase he doesn't find what he's looking for or is he being serious? He says he has hope for our future and he doesn't want to see anybody else and wants to focus on himself for "us" help please.
